Called to Build – Understanding Your Kingdom Assignment

Better Business Devotional Part 1

You weren’t placed in the marketplace by accident. As a Kingdom entrepreneur or leader, your business or project isn’t just a way to make a living. It’s a response to a divine calling. God has uniquely wired you, positioned you, and prepared you to build something that reveals His glory on the earth.

Nehemiah didn’t just rebuild walls; he restored identity to a people. Joseph didn’t just manage resources; he preserved nations. Your assignment may involve products, teams, systems, or strategy, but at its core, it’s spiritual. It’s about partnering with God to build something that brings life, justice, excellence, and transformation.

But to build God’s way, you must first hear from Him. Your assignment won’t come from striving but from seeking. The Kingdom builder begins with alignment before action and intimacy before influence.

God doesn't just call you to build something great. He calls you to build with Him, for Him, and through Him.

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” — Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)

Reflective Question:

What has God specifically placed in your heart to build, and who is it for?

Action Step:

Spend 15 minutes this week in prayer asking: “Lord, what is my Kingdom assignment in this season?” Write down what you sense, even if it’s not fully clear yet.
